The story revolves around the Kims, a poor family living in a cramped semi-basement apartment in Seoul. The family consists of father Ki-taek, mother Chung-sook, and their children, Ki-woo and Ki-jung. They struggle to make ends meet, folding pizza boxes and scrounging for Wi-Fi signals to survive.
