The movie begins with Rick, Evelyn (Maria Bello), and their son Shang-Yu (Jet Li) on a quest to find the tomb of the Dragon Emperor, who is said to possess the power to grant eternal life. However, they are not the only ones searching for it. The evil General Yang (Russell Wong) and his army are also on the hunt, and they will stop at nothing to get their hands on the emperor's treasure.

The movie performed well at the box office, grossing over $403 million worldwide. In India, the Hindi dubbed version of the movie was a major hit, grossing over ₹ 50 crore at the domestic box office.

Michelle Yeoh is also excellent as Ming Guo, bringing a sense of strength and authority to the role. The chemistry between the leads is palpable, and they work well together to bring the story to life.
